I’ve been an interior decorator for nearly 20 years. I love just about anything that has to do with home design, style, and entertaining. I would describe my personal decorating/design preference as eclectic, with an emphasis on Mediterranean, Tuscan, and Old World elements. I love warm, rich, earthy colors and tones, combined with unique architecture.

Some of my other interests include collecting and drinking delicious wines (with my husband), cooking/entertaining, exercising (a constant battle), traveling (Austalia is one of my favorite countries), and writing. I live in Florida with my handsome husband, John, and two children (Ashley and Michael). We also have a spoiled pooch named Max.

The purpose of The Better Home Blog is to continually provide you with  fresh tips, ideas, and advice for creating the perfect home. One area that I’m particularly excited about is “green living.” I believe that we should all strive to reduce our carbon footprint and make our homes more energy efficient without impacting its beauty and comfort.
